Michelle Keller
-Preschool Teacher, Wayland, MA Michelle has been a teacher for five years. She started as a kindergarten teacher, bringing nature and child-led play to the children in her town. It started as an activity she wanted to share with her own children and quickly turned into a career. In 2020, she brought her skills inside the classroom and taught young toddlers at the YMCA. After moving up to preschool and pre-k classes, she discovered TLC and is going into her second year of teaching here. When Michelle isn’t in the classroom with her students, she’s exploring with her two kids, reading a good book, or baking with her family! |

Gillian Sanders
-Assistant Teacher, Wayland, MA Hi everyone! My name is Gillian Sanders and this is my first school year at TLC! I graduated from Elon University in 2021 with my bachelor’s degree in Finance and accounting, and worked in corporate finance for two years after school. In high school I spent my summers as a sleep-away camp counselor at Camp Huckins on Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire. Between teaching sailing, running craft projects, and building many campfires, I ran a cabin of 10 girls, spending my first 2 summers with 8-9 year olds and my last summer with 12-13 year olds. During college, I was a full-time nanny over the summers for an amazing family in Wellesley. I began with them when the children were ages 2 and 4. After my first job out of college, I knew I wanted to go back to working with children, as I was missing the unique fulfillment and fun the work had always provided me - this lead me to TLC! My favorite thing about the early education field is how much laughter goes on every day at work. Kids are smart and silly and never fail to put a smile on my face. Additionally, seeing a child discover something new about the world - be it a fact, new activity they enjoy, or new way to communicate a need - always inspires me. I am looking forward to a great rest of the year! |
